My daughter really wished for this pup for her 7th birthday and she got it....but he really isn't as cute as the picture. The hair is all over his eyes and nose and she is always frustrated that she can't see them! We've tried lots of things to keep the hair away....and I think I'm gong to cut it. Also- the picture sort of gives the impression she comes with a book- and she does- but it's not a story- it is some post cards....which is a little weird. It's kind of a disappointing present for how much it was.....Product details

We bought this as a gift for our daughter's friend. She loved it. It was a very cute toy to go along with the American Girl Dolls that they all love.
It looks just like my puppy. I purchased it along with an American girl doll for my daughter. She and her doll both have their puppies and are style alike. Too cute!
This dog is the same size as the Sugar pet found at the American Girl store or website. You just have to fluff it out. But this dog does not have the name collar. The American Girl sells the Sugar replacement collar for $3 but charges $4.95 for shipping. They do not carry the replacement collars in the store. So if you are getting this dog for a girl who really cares for the Sugar name collar, then you are really not saving much money with this package because the American Girl store sells the dog with the collar for $20. The postcards are nice, but my daughter cares more for the dog with the collar than the postcards.
This was the perfect birthday gift. We were in a hurry, able to just pop this in a gift bag with some tissue paper and run! Great price, too.
Definitely will purchase again.
i bought two of these guys, sugar and chocolate chip for my AG obsessed daughetrs (11 and 7). Once again, best price around, and also only place I could find this package w the book anywhere except ebay! awesomesauce!
Grand daughter loves this dog even two year later
This is from the popular collection of American Girl dogs assortment. My kids were enthusiastic about receiving it, although I did not realize this was such a small stuffed animal. The accompanying sticker and postcard book is a nice accompaniment.
